The Journey began five decades ago with one man’s desire to faithfully reproduce the purest, most authentic sound. The introduction of the HR-100S tonearm in the early 1980s set new standards for the industry. This meticulously crafted tonearm gained a near-cult following around the world, and was soon joined by Alphason Sonata turntable with its twin ac motors and massive cast iron floating subchassis. The 90s saw the Introduction of the stunning Symphony turntable that had many revisions over the popular Sonata.

The superior engineering of the HR-100S has certainly stood the test of time, but while others have stood still, we have continued to push the boundaries of sound innovation. Mikolash Bhavnani and his father were keen supporters of Alphason audio in the 80s, having owned several HR-100S tonearms and Sonata turntables, we were the first to take delivery of the Symphony turntable at its launch.

Today with the introduction of the HR-200S Alpahason have taken things much further, the HR-200S is a serious contender in todays world of high performance tonearms. The tonearm now comes in a choice of three lengths being 9 10 and 12 inch providing great versitility.
