Unique Audio has been putting SME tonearms and turntables at the heart of our systems ever since we started building audio systems.
Mikolash prides himself on being an SME specialist, having worked closely with the company’s founder, Alistair Robertson Aikman, until his sad death. SME continues to manufacture some of the world’s finest turntables and tonearms under the supervision of Alistair’s son Cameron.
Each product is immaculately constructed using the finest machinery available. To maintain the very high standards of quality, all manufacture and processing is carried out 'in house'. Facilities commence with design and toolmaking through all aspects of manufacturing including CNC machining, pressure die-casting, injection moulding, metal finishing, electro-plating, anodising and many other processes. Fit and finish of all SME products are exemplary.
Unique Audio currently have the SME Model 30/2A, Model 20/2A and Model 10A on permanent demonstration, together with all guises of the legendary SME Series V and IV precision tonearms. We can usually also offer a selection of preowned tonarms, carefully selected, each tonearm being inspected and checked before being offered for sale.
